Hello all. Casey here. Been busy. Studing John Donne. If you have ever attempted to read Donne you know why I have been busy. The wierd thing is I get Donne. He and I connect some how. I do not enjoy poetry. I have never understood, nor had any interest in understanding poetry, but I get Donne. I am particullarly drawn to his wit, and the fact that he is so super human, wicked smart but remains human in his poems. So thats what I have been doing.
Ok that's not all I have been doing. I made the mistake of buying my wife a couple seasons of the Gilmore Girls on Dvd for her birthday, so I have been seeing a lot of Rory and Lorili.

By the way, BASEBALL SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I hate basketball, I LOVE MY BRAVOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace, Love, Spring Training,
Bass

I  have not posted in a while. I am busy with the whole Married, school, work, thing. Good news, I just made an A on my first math test in 9 years. I am stoked. So my mom and sister are going to Vegas, someone call and warn Wayne Newton not to ride his Harley, or my Mom will abduct him.

Pat's post about the emergiant church, and Megan's about looking back, have caused me to remember the greatest summer of my life, and it's unfortunate end. The Summer of War Ball.

I belive War Ball was invented by Justin Blocker, Jared Everson, and crew in the summer of 95. During Onward practice late one night Jason Ferguson and I stumbled upon the game when I was pegged in the head while walking down a dark hallway. I am not sure if the Jrs and Srs ever played again, but we became obsessed.

The right upright of Second Baptist Church was made for this game (if you look at the church from above it looks like goal posts). The right upright is a perfect place to play this game, hallways that connect classrooms, that connect hallways to classrooms, then repeats, and it is dark.

We played three or four nights a week. Before long 20-30 kids, and Sunday School Teachers (I once saw Mike Slade do a James Bond barrel roll past a door while firing off ball after ball, the single  funniest moment in my life) were at the church all night long playing this game and fellowshiping. Kids were coming who were'nt members and were joining, and getting saved.

Then one day we were informed that the adults were tired of having to re-arange the chairs in their Sunday School classes after we played and we would not be allowed to play anymore.

That was when it should have been obvious the glaring issues that were festering in the church. No one, including the Teachers who participated thought War Ball was a bad thing, it had all of us kids at the church allmost every day of the week WITH supervision. And none of us said anything, I should have stood up and shouted it was wrong, but I did nothing. None of us did, we could never imagine questioning the administration of Second Baptist Church. It was a sad, sad, day. If we would have only put those chairs back.

Peace, Love, No Packing,
Bass

Ok here are some pics from the honeymoon. Enjoy.

My Wife and I at Biltmore Estate.

.

My wife and I at Biltmore again, no wait, thats Debbie and a goat, she likes goats

More at Biltmore, "its a big, big, house, with lots and lots of rooms". Notice She is on a higher step than me.

Me dodging traffic in Ashville, hippies drive like maniacs

Debbie and the Bass Pond

Debbie decided to cook breakfast, and cooked enough to feed the 1st Infantry Division

This is right before I fell in the river, Frozen river rocks are no joke.

"The Luckiest Guy in the World, And the Crazy Woman who Married Him", in theaters January 3, new from Disney.

Debbie will go to great lengths to get a good picture, here she stands under a water fall in 20  degree weather, tough girl.

So there are some of the pictures of our week. We had a great time, but I am really glad to get back and get settled in to the house. Speaking of, I now go to fix the outside security light and the hot water heater. Married life rules.

Peace, Love, Chores,
Bass

Ok, Thanks Heather, I really like the Lion King.
